性质描述： 白色或类白色固体粉末。密度0.929，熔点256-258℃，沸点 275℃，与水反应。叔丁醇钾溶于叔丁醇，其溶液较稳定，它碱性强而亲核性相对较弱，溶于THF，常用于卤代烃的脱卤化氢反应。
叔丁醇钾是有机碱性腐蚀品，强吸湿，应密封保存，在贮运中注意防火、防晒以及要存放在阴凉通风干燥处。
制备方法: 将金属钾在氮气环境下加入到新蒸的叔丁醇中，回流至钾完全融解后保温1h，蒸掉过量的叔丁醇，剩余白色固体在油浴180～190℃真空减压干燥10h以上，可得到叔丁醇钾的晶体粉末，需要氮气下保存使用,不能遇空气&水分,不然会变成粉红色,收率以钾来算的话在99%以上。
用途： 作为强碱广泛应用于化工，医药，农药等有机合成中的缩合，重排和开环等反应中。

【Ingestion】Do NOT induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid immediately.
【Inhalation】Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. DO NOT use mouth-to-mouth respiration.
【Skin】Get medical aid immediately. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse. Destroy contaminated shoes.
【Eyes】Get medical aid immediately. Do NOT allow victim to rub or keep eyes closed. Extensive irrigation is required (at least 30 minutes).
